(( Cavachon ))
HOME : 717- 862-3638
A Cavachon is a type of dog that is a mix between a Bichon Frise and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. They normally have a non-shedding to low-shedding coat and the kind temperament of both of its parent breeds. Purebreds of both the Bichon Frise and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel must be used as the parents to produce a Cavachon, but it is thought to not matter which one is the mother or father. The Cavachon is part of a growing trend in "designer dogs". Cavachons are often mistaken for small poodles because of their close resemblance with curly hair and size. Some Cavachons also have darker hair on their ears, paws, and sometimes tails which makes it seem like they are dirty. This is a result of the longer hair just having variations in color making it darker than the rest of the coat. Appearance Adult weights range from 12 pounds to 28 pounds with most falling within the 20-22 pound range. The traits inherited from either of the parent dogs can vary greatly, but it is believed that cavachons get the best traits from their parents. For example, their coat can be curly or straight.
